Certification trajectory
The certification trajectory
The certification trajectory is more than an auditor stopping by for an audit. It starts with the very first contact and ends with the last check-ups. We know the process might not be as clear for you as it is for us. We are happy to explain.

Planning of the audit
After we have received the signed agreement we will contact you to plan the audit.
Receiving the auditplan
A couple of days before the audit you will receive an auditplan from our auditor.
Certification audit
On the agreed date our auditor will visit your company. On this day the auditor will:
- Examin and verify the structure, policy, procesess, procedures, files and all related documents concerning the organisation and management system.
- Establish if the points above meet up with the requirements of the certification.
- Establish if the processes and procedures determined, are implemented and maintained. So there is a basic set up for trust in the management system.
- Report possible deviations when they occure between policy, goals and targets.
Report
After finishing the audit, the auditor will report back to you and another auditor r has to review the report. When both the auditor and reviewer have given a positive verdict, you will receive an email with the report and the final decision.
Issuing of the certificate
After the report has been finalised, we will print the certificate. You will receive it by email and by post.
Being proud of your certificate
As soon as you have received the certificate, you can claim to be a certified organisation. This means you can take the next steps:
- Logos: You may use the ‘Certified by NCI’-Logos. They are digital and can be used on notepaper, websites, newsletters, etc. The logos and logo procedure are mailed to you along with the certificate.
Planning of the audit
Your certification has a validity of three years. But only if you have yearly check-ups. During a previous audit the auditor has to plan the date for next year. An email will verify this date.

Receiving the form with deficiencies
If during the audit deficiencies are being detected, we fill in a form. You receive this form after the audit is finished.
Resolving the deficiencies
The deficiencies form describes the cause, size and path of solution of the deficiencies. The norm states that you have up to 3 months after finishing the audit to correct the deficiencies. If not, a second additional research will be noted.
Assessment
Written Additional research: the auditor assesses the evidence you have provided. A positive review means all deficiencies are cancelled.
Additional research: the auditor checks the implementation of the corrective actions on site. A positive review means all deficiencies are cancelled.

Report
The auditor sets up the non-conformity form as a report and asks one of his/her collegues to review it. When both of them have a positive verdict, you receive an email containing the report and the final verdict.
Issuing the certificate
Of course you will receive the certificate after a positive verdict. We send a scan of it by email. The actual certificate, that is valid for 3 years, is send to you by post. You will not receive a new certificate at the first or second controle audit. But you may carry out your certificate proudly.
